In three weeks, Destructo‘s inaugural All My Friends festival will take place in downtown Los Angeles. The two-day event will feature a diverse lineup of artists from across the hip-hop, R&B, and dance worlds.
Included in the lineup are legendary DJs and Jurassic 5 members, Cut Chemist and Nu-Mark. To showcase the festival’s eclectic bill, both joined Destructo on Monday for a unique episode of DJcity’s MikiDz Show live stream.
Chemist kicked off the night with an eye-popping set of turntablism, making full use of his equipment. He was followed by Destructo, who dropped a signature set of g-house, including many of his own tracks. Closing out the night was Nu-Mark, who put down an all-45 set, which included impressive juggles and other tricks. It was only the second time that a DJ performed an all-vinyl set on the show (the first was DJ Neil Armstrong).
Watch the full show. You can also listen to or download the audio via iTunes.
Cut Chemist joins Steve and friends for this special episode of the Steebee Weebee Show. We talk about the evolution of gear and technology in the DJ world, influential DJs and recording artist and so much more!
